Bohemian Rhapsody Movie
Last night I saw this movie. I have to say, I am not a Queen fan per say but I do like a lot of their music and still wanted to see the movie.
I already knew that the timeline of the way things happened were out of order and that this movie was pretty watered down on Freddy's life. Overall, I still think it was a great movie and looking forward to getting it on DVD.
I would have like to seen how he learned to play the piano, how they came to making the song for the 'Highlander' TV show and more of his personal life.
I loved the songs although there were a few songs that I never heard of. I think the guy who played Freddy did a pretty good job. I was heartbreaking at times especially when he found out he got aids. For me, that hit home since I know someone who died from it.
Even if this movie was watered down, I got a glimpse of who Freddy was. He was a very interesting guy. Even though he had his struggles, he still managed to go for what he wanted and got his life together in the end. So sad that he died especially so young. He was a year younger than I am now, wow.
Anyways, I think it is a good movie and if a fan go out aside the messed up timeline and that it was watered down, I think this movie can be really enjoyed.

Charmed
I just watched the first episode of the remake of 'Charmed'. When I first heard about the remake and saw the preview, I was very skeptical and wish they would leave the classic alone. I'm still not sure about it.
The first episode wasn't bad I thought. It did through me off that one of the sisters was the lost sister that was found instead of all three starting out as sisters already. The names are all different but their powers seem to be the same so far.
In this one, they get their white-lighter right away and he introduces himself as such and helps them out. Like in the previews, their mother was killed while they were a lot older unlike in the original. I guess I'm okay with that.
The special effects are better but that is to be expected since effects are better these days than when it first aired. This time around it's a little more darker.

All these re-boots are kinda driving me crazy but at the same time I can understand it; they want to introduce great classics to a new generation. I just hope they slow down on the re-makes and come up with more original tv shows.
So I guess those who grew up watching the original should give the new one a try to see where it goes and think of it as an original show instead of comparing it to the original; it could completely ruin it if there is always a comparison. I am going to have to remind myself this as well.
